Following a History of Art degree and ten years in the advertising industry, I decided to retrain as a bookkeeper. I gained all my professional qualifications, and in 2012 launched Bruce Books, based in Leith. 

I currently have about a dozen clients across a wide range of industries, including a world leading baroque consort, a wellbeing practice, a bookshop, a think tank and an after school club.  I really enjoy working with them all.

Most of my work is done from my home office using cloud based software. However, I like to see my clients regularly, even if only for a cup of coffee and a chat!

When I am not working, I love being with my family, walking my wild Staffy, and playing the cello.
